KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • For the execution of instrumentation (electronic, pneumatic) maintenance work on the offshore facility to ensure the plant is kept in a constant state of safe and efficient operation readiness. 
  • To assist in other discipline tasks as part of the multi-skill concept.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for the safe execution of PM/CM work for an allocated area of the facility through the application of the Permit to Work System and adherence to safety procedures & culture.
  • Ensures continued plant safety, integrity and reliability through the application specific work/engineering standards and statutory requirements
  • Responsible for the execution of routine, preventive and corrective maintenance for all instrumentation.
  • Troubleshooting of instrumentation problems and failures
  • Provide fast response and turnaround time for critical maintenance jobs
  • Ensures that Supervisors are kept informed of the progress and current status of the equipment and work undertaken
  • Recording of work history in the CMMS – MAXIMO system to enable data reporting and collection in supporting analysis of facilities performance and failures
  • Ensure critical equipment spares/consumables availability 
  • Perform routine tasks for other discipline or assist in line with mufti skill concept
  • Offshore based role – 14 days on/off roster, 12-hour shift

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess an ONC or equivalent in Instrument & Control or equivalent Qualification
  • Possess at least five (5)- eight (8) years hands on experience in production & maintenance in the oil and gas industry
  • Proven hands-on operations/maintenance & troubleshooting experience on a wide range of plant instrumentation of pneumatic system, DCS, FGS, IPS and turbine/compressor controls
  • Ability to assist other disciplines in carrying out routine tasks
  • Knowledge in use of CMMS (MAXIMO or its equivalent)
  • Ability to coach trainees and less experienced technicians
