DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support in ensuring adherence to all applicable statutory and regulatory rules, guidelines and reporting requirements (such as Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s Main Market Listing Requirements and the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance).
  • Facilitates the refinement of the Governance Framework of the Group (where required), including in relation to Corruption Risk assessment and Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) efforts.
    • Assists in gap identification and resolution including policy refinement according to applicable regulations/guidelines/internal policies to support strategic decision and ensure framework integrity.
    • Assists in the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the Governance framework and compliance system.
    • Assists in regulatory/statutory report(s) preparation and submission.
  • Renders assistance in the execution of Corporate Finance transactions.
    • Assists in discussions relating to regulatory aspects of corporate transactions.
    • Assists in due diligence process of corporate exercises, and reviews and finalizes regulatory submissions and announcements/circulars (where applicable).
    • Liaises with investment banks and relevant advisors (as required).
  • Assists in the Investor Relations Management of Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad. 
    • Provides support in responding to arising shareholders’ queries.
  • Involved in the Risk Identification and Mitigation activities of the Group.
    • Assists in the drafting/updating of relevant Group’s policies in the Policies Manual to ensure documents remain relevant and consistent with regulatory requirements/internal procedures.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Supervisor, including drafting/review of assigned sections of the Annual Report and provides support in the conduct of AGM/EGM proceedings.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a recognized related degree. MBA holder is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of related working experience, preferably in Sustainability/Compliance/Corporate Finance functions.
  • Familiarity with the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s Main Market Listing Requirements and the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance. Familiarity with the Malaysian Companies Act 2016 and the Malaysian Securities Commission’s laws/regulations/guidelines are an advantage.
  • Possess critical thinking skills, meticulous with organized approach to tasks. 
  • Must be an independent multi-tasker with good project management and communication skills.
  • Must have high integrity, self-motivated, adaptable and a team player.
